Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 109th Annual Exhibition
Mystic Museum of Art hosts the 109th Annual Exhibition of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) for twelve weeks.
An exhibition prospectus will be available on CAFA’s website, ctacademy.org.
Founded in 1910, CAFA was established by a group of renowned Connecticut artists with the goal of promoting the art of area members through an annual salon show, a juried exhibition with high standards of artistic excellence. Artists could gain membership in the organization by proving themselves through the jury process.
Today the Academy remains an active non-profit organization supported by the membership. All of the leadership positions and exhibition activities are performed by volunteers dedicated to the preservation of the Academy and the values it represents. In keeping with this long standing tradition, CAFA holds yearly exhibitions that are open to members and non-members alike. All artists are encouraged to enter their work.
