Exploring Missing Narratives with Robin Holder

Join us at MMoA on Tuesday, September 6th for a conversation with artist Robin Holder as she explores the stories in Missing Narratives, beginning with her own.

Robin Holder (b. 1952), Yes We Can, 2009, hand printed and collaged stencil monotype on paper. Collection of Bill and Paula Alice Mitchell.

Holder, who grew up in an African Russian Jewish Caribbean family in New Jersey, has always been fascinated by the cultural differences of her classmates,  friends, and neighbors, and explores these racial, religious, and class identities in her artwork – five examples of which are currently on display in Missing Narratives, on loan from the collection of Bill and Paula Alice Mitchell.

This event is free to MMoA members and $10 general admission. Doors open at 5pm and a parking voucher will be provided at check in. Space is limited, so registering in advance is encouraged.
