Tired of small talk? The art installation “Let’s Have a Conversation” debuted at the 63rd Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, August 14 – 15, 2021.

Coordinated by MMoA’s Education Manager Mary Addison and featuring chairs painted by local students from ages 4 – 21, each chair is devoted to one of the issues we’ve all been facing over the past year. From global warming to COVID, to gender equality, to politics, these artworks invited visitors to choose a topic, have a seat, and talk about topics that have been weighing heavy on their minds.

The conversation continues in a temporary outdoors exhibition at MMoA! Monday through Friday, 11am – 5pm (weather permitting), until Friday, September 10th. Pick a topic and have a seat!
