Making Something from Nothing: The Creative Process
Delve into what it takes to create a work of art by considering the methods and materials of artists, the elements and principles of design, and what it means to be “creative,” as well as the cognitive and emotional processes tapped by a creative practice. Join Julia Pavone on Wednesday for the conclusion to the series, as Julia moderates a far reaching discussion with a panel of the region’s leading artists including: Ana Flores, Leif Nilsson, Deborah Hornbake, Sunil Howlader, Kam Ghaffari, and poet Rhonda Ward.
Instructor: Julia Pavone
Co-founder and curator/director of the Alexey von Shlippe Gallery of Art at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point, Pavone has also taught art courses at UCONN for nearly 30 years.
