Time:

This three-part lecture series delves into what it takes to create a work of art. Those interested in the visual arts will learn by examining the methods and materials of artists, the elements and principles of design, and what it means to be “creative,” as well as the cognitive and emotional processes tapped by a creative practice. The last class will serve as discussion with participants and guest panelists.
Instructor: Julia Pavone
Co-founder and curator/director of the Alexey von Shlippe Gallery of Art at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point, Pavone has also taught art courses at UCONN for nearly 30 years. In addition, Pavone has exhibited nationally and internationally and served as a guest jurist and guest lecturer throughout the Northeast.
